Theodore (Ted) Maria Kramolc is a listed Canadian/Slovenian artist who was born in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia in 1922.Prior to moving to Canada in 1948, he studied architecture under noted Neoclassicist, Joseph Piecnik, who was one of the Central Europe`s most prominent architects of the 20th century. Ted later furthered his art studies at the Ontario Academy of Art and Design.
Ted participated in numerous solo and group shows in Canada, U.S.A. and Slovenia.
He also went on to write shorts stories and novels which captured the attention of Slovenians throughout the world.
His art can be found in Museum collections which include the National Gallery of Ottawa, AGO and Art Gallery of Hamilton.
During his final year of life, he was honoured with ´The Award for Lifetime Work Achievement´on July 4, 2012, from the Slovenian Minister of Diaspora, Ljudmila Novak. The award was presented at Toronto City Hall and recognized his achievements through painting and writing.
He passes away in 2013.
