Oil on Canvas Quebec City Winter Street Scene by Maurice Lebon. Provenance: Meagher/Gillespies


Maurice Lebon (1916-1998) was born in Quebec City and tutored by renowned painter, Francesco Iacurto.
Working in oil, he painted Quebec urban street scenes, landscapes and rural scenes. His work is in several private collections and art galleries in Canada and Europe. Several pieces can be found in the Collection of Quebec  City´s “Citadelle”.
Both Pierre Elliot Trudeau and Brian Mulroney have acquired his works. Other collectors include Pope John Paul II, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and Queen Elizabeth II.
