Ernest Alfred Dalton was born in Brixton, England in 1887. He immigrated to Canada in 1924 and settled in Toronto.
As one of the foremost Canadian landscape artist of his day, he painted farmlands, buildings and landscapes of rural Ontario. Dalton exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy and he was an associate of the Ontario College of Art. His work is highly respected and has found its way into many corporate and private collections across Canada.
