Oil on Canvas by Maurice Lebon. Titled: "Pecheurs d´Esperlans" (Smelt Fisherman)

Maurice Lebon (1916-1998) was born in Quebec City and was tutored by renowned painter, Francesco Iacurto. Working in oil, he painted Quebec urban street scenes, landscapes and rural scenes.
His works belong to several private collections and art galleries in Canada and Europe.
Several pieces can be found in the collection of Quebec city´s "Citadelle". Both Pierre Elliott Trudeau and Brian Mulroney have acquired his works. Other collectors include Pope John Paul II, The Archbishop of Canterbury, and Queen Elizabeth II.
